Its open year round, just tell anyone who walks up to you that rob told you to come out. They want to see riders there and will let you camp, fish, ride the zip-line, party, watch drive in theater, and play music. They have a website too with a phone number if you want to call first and see if there is a festival going on the weekend you want to go.
the 156 acre site is wide open other than the 1200' of riverfront which is kinda wooded. The spectator area will be by the river which has the freeride drops and kayak ramp. People will also be gathering at the stage. I think Friday & Sat nights are gonna be off the chain...deff best time to go
Heck ya, we've been building every weekend for months. Been working on a big step up, some jumps in the short track course, and some 60-70' long skinnys. Its's gonna be a blast this year
Its going down on the 17th-The location is boogie bottoms in Nectar, AL. You can google the name and it will take you to their website. I think its $25 for camping the whole weekend, and $15 for one night. I'm trying to get a pro builder for a quality pump track this year
na, sold it for 4000. I've got a 6" travel scott genius for all mountain now....prob be a few years before i DH again. Been riding raccoon mountain & monte sano alot
In the Cleveland area we ride mostly out by the Ocoee. From here, Windrock, TTC, Carters Lake, and Big Creek arent that long of drives. That is what I ride the most I guess. I have a lot of shit built at my house so i ride that a lot as well...
I am friends with Rob so its all good. Hurricane Creek is alright if you live close. Everything there, aside from the big drop, can be rode on pretty much any bike. Its a 3 hour drive for me, not necessarily worth it. If you live close though its not bad. Most of the stuff is pretty spread out, more all mountain. I am more into Freeride/DH, so there are some better options for me...
